The process of researching therapists and scheduling the first session can be challenging - but it doesn’t have to be...

Step 1: A free initial phone consultation

I offer a free 20 minute phone consultation which gives us both a chance to get to know each other. I will ask a few questions about what brings you to therapy and aim to get a better understanding of where you are at the moment and what you hope to gain from the process of therapy.

It’s so important for you to find someone you feel safe with, so this is a good time for us to connect with each other and it also gives you a chance to ask me any questions you may have.

Step 2: Initial intake assessment and evaluation.

If you decide to proceed, our work will begin with an initial assessment and evaluation. This initial session usually takes 90-120 min and can happen over zoom or face to face. It’s a chance for me to get a sense of your background and history in detail. We can also reflect on what brings you to therapy in depth and consider what areas you want to focus on and how therapy could be most beneficial for you.

Step 3: Scheduling regular sessions

Following the initial assessment, we arrange a regular time and day that we can meet for 50 minute sessions each week.

I provide long term open ended depth therapy (one year plus), mid term (six months plus) and short term work (6-12 sessions), we can decide together what would suit your needs best.
